Microsoft Server 2012 reaching End of Support
As of October 10, 2023, Microsoft Server 2012 and Windows Server 2012 R2 will reach their End of Support (EOS) phase. This means that Microsoft will no longer provide security updates, non-security updates, bug fixes, technical support, or online technical content updates for these versions.
Without security updates, your server environment will become increasingly vulnerable to emerging threats, potentially leading to unauthorised access, data breaches, and compliance issues.
To ensure the continued security and stability of your systems, we recommend that you take immediate action. The options available are:
- Upgrade to a newer version: Consider migrating your servers and applications to a supported version such as Windows Server 2022 offering enhanced security features, improved performance, and ongoing support from Microsoft.
- Move to the cloud: Embrace the benefits of cloud computing by transitioning your legacy servers and applications to a cloud-based environment.
Next Steps:
- Engage with our support team: Reach out to our dedicated support team. We will guide you through the migration process and provide assistance in selecting the right solution for your specific requirements.
- Plan your migration: Create a roadmap outlining the necessary steps, including compatibility testing, data migration, and application reconfiguration.
We strongly encourage you to begin the planning process as soon as possible to ensure a smooth transition before the End of Support date. By taking proactive measures, you can safeguard your systems against potential vulnerabilities and benefit from the latest advancements in server technology.
