Benefits of eInvoicing
What is eInvoicing?
eInvoicing is a digital, standardised solution for traditional invoicing e.g. paper and pdf invoicing. It allows Users to send, receive and process electronic invoices that conform to the European eInvoicing Standard (EN 16931). This Standard has already been adopted by all Public Bodies across the EU and a growing network of businesses from the Private Sector.
PEPPOL
The PEPPOL project has contributed to the development of a pan-European, standards-based IT infrastructure. It is governed by a large multi-lateral agreement structure which is owned and maintained by OpenPEPPOL.
PEPPOL Access Points connect users to the PEPPOL network and exchange electronic documents. Suppliers are free to choose their preferred single Access Point provider to connect to all PEPPOL participants already on the network. Connect once, connect to all.

Benefits of eInvoicing
Tendering
All Public Bodies across the EU are eInvoice ready. In many countries eInvoicing is already a requirement in Tenders and we can see the same becoming more frequent in Irish Tenders as the EU works toward a Single Digital Market.
Cost reduction
As a paperless and automated tool, eInvoicing reduces processing and operational costs.
Faster payment
eInvoicing eliminates postage time and reduces processing time. Information can be fed directly into a company’s payment and accounting system.
Facilitates cross-border trade
eInvoices are sent and received in a secure and time efficient manner from any location.
